Rosalinda is the third child of her family; The family is victims of hurricane Matthew. Their house was destroyed by the high winds and all their possessions to include animals were lost in the storm. Her mother moved north to the Port au Prince area looking for relatives. The only surviving family member is an aunt that lives in deplorable conditions, a one room shack surrounded by water and trash. Due to the condition and age of Rosalinda the mother came to the orphanage seeking help and rescue for her youngest child that she could not care for. Rosalinda was very frail, malnourished and in need of medical care when she arrived. She was accepted by the children and is doing much better. She is a joy to be with her smile is very contagious.
